Hey all,
Happy Thanksgiving! It's the day that is set aside for giving thanks. Make sure to count your blessings. No matter what your circumstances, there is always something to be thankful for.
Our family is going to have our traditional balloon turkey shoot in the backyard. This afternoon I might catch some football and be thankful that I don't have to root for the hapless Detroit Lions.
Have a great day with your family and friends!
See ya,

College and the CLEP.
Hey all,
How y'all doing? As you can see I changed up my blog a little. Gave it a new template and added a twitter feed. Not too shabby. Lately I've been working on a college degree from home. I'm planning on getting my degree through Thomas Edison State College based in New Jersey. You can take their courses online so I can do college from home. The awesome thing about this here college is that it accepts CLEP tests for credit.
So instead of taking a long college course on English Composition, I can just take the English Composition CLEP on my own time and get 6 credits for it. For a lot of colleges, the first two years are just high school stuff so the CLEPs really help to accelerate the process. You don't have to waste time learning something that you already know. Plus it's a lot cheaper. If you're careful you can get a 4 year degree for around $15,000.
There are some other great sites out there that help you prepare for CLEP tests ad accelerated degrees. I'm listing some of them below.
Thomas Edison State College
Liberty University
CLEP
Degree Info This is a forum dedicated to getting online degrees.
BA in 4 Weeks I can't get my degree in 4 weeks... But these folks can.
Instant Cert $20 a month to get access to practice CLEP tests.
So anyway, hopefully these will be useful for anyone starting down this path. I'm really enjoying it so far and I'm looking forward to doing more CLEPs as time goes on. It's possible to get over half of your degree on CLEPs alone.

Life
Hey all,
Not much going on lately. Studying for college tests and good stuff like that. The weather is broiling hot at times and wet and rainy at others. So yeah... I don't really have anything to say except that life is going well. I'm excited!
I don't even have any pictures so I guess you'll just have to be satisfied with text. My brother has my camera but I wasn't taking pictures with it anyway. Have a great day!

Hey all,
Thought you might enjoy this arrangement of 2 pieces.
I really like strings with piano. It's a weakness of mine. ;-)

Here I be...
Hey all,
Wow! It has been a loooong time since I posted here. Well most of my readers know what is up with me since my last post. I went to ALERT for five months and then came back. I was going to go back for five more months but changed my mind at the last second. Now I am working on getting a plan for life together and am seeking God's direction for every step. I'm excited about moving ahead and can't wait to see what God has in store for me.
My life looks kinda like this right now. Roads going in every direction. Good thing God has the map and the destination. Otherwise I would be kind of lost.
Life goes on! Maybe I can keep updating this blog a little more regularly. Anyway...

Off to ALERT again!
Hey all,
I'll be saying goodbye once more here. Hope you won't miss me too bad. I'm going back for another session at ALERT. I'll be gone for quite awhile this time.

I would appreciate your prayers as I will be doing stuff that is probably more dangerous than before. High angle rescue, firefighting, sawyer work, etc. It'll be another growing opportunity as well so just pray that I'll be able to step up to the challenge and take the initiative on things. I need to work on taking the lead on things as opposed to taking the back seat. I appreciate everyone's support!
See ya next time,
Ryan :-)
